What You Should Know Before Ordering

Portrait & Pet Portrait – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What you should know before placing your order.

Q1. What kind of photo should I send?

We often receive questions about what kind of photo to prepare. Basically, almost any photo can be used for your portrait painting.

However, since each painting is carefully created based on the photo you provide, please understand that the image resolution and lighting may affect the final result.

To ensure the best possible quality, we recommend photos that are:

  – High-resolution and sharp
  – Clearly show the subject’s eyes, fur, or skin texture
  – Taken in bright natural light

You may send multiple reference photos, but please specify one main photo as the key reference.

Q2. Can multiple people or pets from different photos be combined into one painting?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer paintings combining multiple photos into one image.

Each artwork is created carefully based on a single photo. Typically, only one person or one pet is painted per portrait. Thank you for your understanding.

Q3. Can I choose the background?

Yes, you can select from three background options:

  – Simple solid color
  – Soft gradient
  – Gold leaf (with an additional fee)

Please tell us your preference when ordering or submitting your photo.

We can also replicate the background from your photo, but if it’s too complex, we might suggest a simpler background for a cleaner look.

Q4. Can I check the progress of my painting?

Yes, we provide several email updates during the painting process.

You can also view your order status anytime via your personal My Page.

Minor adjustments such as background color tweaks can be requested at these stages, so feel free to let us know.

Q5. How long does it take to complete and deliver?

From photo submission, it generally takes about 3 weeks for F4 size and 5 weeks for F6 size paintings to be completed and shipped.

We can work on up to three paintings simultaneously. Additional orders beyond that are queued and started only after earlier works are finished, which may extend delivery times.

If you need your painting by a specific date like a birthday or anniversary, please contact us early. We will do our best to accommodate your timing.

Q6. Does the painting come with a frame?

No, frames are not included.

We believe selecting a frame that suits your interior and display location is best done by you. Therefore, paintings are delivered as unframed canvases.

Please feel free to frame your portrait painting according to your personal style.

Q7. Can I order a painting as a gift?

Absolutely. Portrait paintings make meaningful gifts for occasions such as:

  – Birthdays
  – Weddings or retirements
  – Memorial gifts for loved ones or pets

Simple gift wrapping and message cards are also available upon request. Just let us know when ordering.

Q8. What is the ordering process?

The usual process is:

  1. Choose your desired size and background (simple or gold leaf)
  2. Place your order and send your photo via email
  3. About two weeks later, receive the first progress image by email
  4. Review the final confirmation image before completion; minor changes can be requested
  5. Your painting is carefully packed and shipped

Q9. Can I request revisions?

Yes, minor revisions are possible when reviewing progress images, such as:

  – Adjusting color tones
  – Changing background colors

Major changes like altering composition or adding new subjects cannot be accommodated. Thank you for understanding.

Q10. Can I cancel my order?

Once painting creation has started, cancellations and returns are generally not accepted.

If the painting has not yet been started, cancellation may be possible.

Please contact us promptly if you wish to cancel.

For any other questions or concerns, feel free to reach out. We will respond thoughtfully and carefully.
